??? What are my rights if i am spotting in Canada at a Canadian Airport.

It depends widely on which airport you decide to visit.
YEG is one of the worst and not even worth the visit. YVR and YYC accepts spotters/photographers much better. That's as far as my experience goes.

I'd agree with Ivan - don't bother visiting YEG. I am certain there's an APM there whose girlfriend was a plane spotter and when she dumped him he vowed to make all spotter's lives hell. probably not true, but might as well be - the security folks are a joke there.

YYC - 2.5 hour drive south of YEG and a totally different story. No issues at all, very few spots where you aren't welcome.

Lots of great places to spot around YYZ. Mr Spaceman and I have never had a problem. I'm sure if you pulled out a 6' ladder you'd be unwelcome but otherwise there are some great spots!

I'm sure some of the guys will agree with me on this one.
