Photoshop Smart Filters

I have a question about Photoshop's smart filters. I have applied several filters to a layer, and those filters are grouped under a single smart filter, along with a layer mask for the smart filter, like so:

The problem is that all new filters I add now will always use that filter's layer mask. But what I want to do is apply another filter to the *entire* image, not just to the layer mask part of the image. How would I do that?

Just create another layer from the bottom (original) layer and apply your filter to it.
