Yep, pretty cool to have someone catch your aircraft at its destination, or vice versa. Here's another example.

Photographed N586HA taking off from 08R at HNL.

And Allen saw her arriving at LAX around 5 hours later.

It's also nice if someone gets a shot of the aircraft with you inside, without you knowing.

I remember the same thing happening with my friend Hongyin Huo - I photographed an Air Canada B767 at the hold prior to its departure from Manchester to Toronto, and Hongyin (who would have been fast asleep when I was out with my camera) was waiting at the end of the journey to capture its arrival later in the day:

...and in a way that brings more of us together, I have just discovered as I write this that two other friends and A.net stalwarts also got in on the game that very day - Jid at Manchester, in a different spot to me that day, and then Eric photographed the same aircraft at the end of its day in Montreal:

Any advance on 4 A.netters in different parts of the globe  wink .

Cheers.

I seem to recall there was one that someone got taking off, a pilot got in flight, and another photographer got upon landing.

I like this aspect of our hobby. Make the world seem much smaller.

Also does anyone else think when they take a pic of a special plane that it's"their" plane? I saw the EK 77W at MAN last year and remember thinking as I drove home that it will be over xxx country and then later that it was landing in DXB. It always seems amazing to me that something that you have seen or photographed is in another part of the planet entirely several hours later.
