Can anyone give me a suggestion for a good first camera to buy. It has to be not expensive (not cheap, but not expensive either) perhaps $100-200 american. It has to have interchangeable lenses so I can change them at will. Also, what are good films to use?

forget the $100-$200 range...
Decent SLRs with some nice lenses start at around $400 (Nikon N65 and comparable models from Canon and Minolta).
You might be able to pick up a used Minolta X300 with 71-210mm for $200, but unless you can get very close to the aircraft that lens is probably too short (and it is not autofocus, which many people think a must nowadays (I did without for 20 years, the rest of the world for another 80 or so...)).
