SJU Aeroparque, Why Closed?

This is for SJU enthusiasts:

Why is the "Aeroparque" viewing terrace closed? I thought the spot was very popular for sightseeing aircraft movements, etc. It is a shame...I hope it is just temporary. If the"Aeroparque" does not reopen where can one get closer views of the jets in LMMIA?

As you appear to live in PR, have you called the airport to ask?

I just talked to a photographer friend that just returned from a two week trip to San Juan. He said the Aeroparque was open on the weekends but closed during the week. It could be a seasonal closing. He also mentioned a parking garage he thought was new that he photographed from.

When I was in Puerto Rico last week I was also told that the Aeroparque was only open on weekends. However now with runway 10 in operation it seemed like everything but American aircraft landed on it and there are some decent spots around the perimeter to take photographs.
