Congratulations on the 4000 and for being an active member of the aviation photographer community. I am glad we finally got to shake hands last year when the A380 came to MSP. I am looking forward to more visits.
Glad to have you as a friend,

Well, thanks guys! I'm reaching a high altitude level with my number of photos!
It took roughly 18 months to get this thousand. And 2008 was an excellent year with lots of highlights - starting out with a parade of bizjets coming in for the Packers playoff game in January (I doubt that will happen this year....), then February - leaving Wisconsin just hours after a major winter storm for sunny Arizona and lots of new sights. Then, in May I jetted off to Washington DC for a weekend air show and a little bit of airplane photography again, new and interesting sights! On the return flight I snapped some rare window-views of Green Bay (not uploadable but they can be seen on my pBase site) July of course was Airventure with all of its excellent photo opportunities - I'd highly recommend a visit for those of you who haven't gone at least once. Then, in September another rainy air show and a return short visit to MSP with some nice photo opportunities. I had a chance to meet a few people, including Nick out at Kingman and someone else in Arizona, and David Knies of Huntsville met at Airventure. I need to get back to BNA someday!
So how can I top that in 2009? I dont know. money is tight, especially with wisdom-tooth extractions coming up soon but a return to Arizona would be nice, as would another one of the big air shows, more Airventure, more flying....its going to be tough to top this!
I'm by no means done with the photos I took in 2008. There are many more to come......
