Well, I never thought that this would come to pass. It seems it was just not long ago that my first photo was accepted in June. Then a month of frustration set in as it was more difficult in getting photos accepted. With the help of many of you here I've managed to improve quality and technique for which I am very grateful.

I hope this doesn't sound like a shameless plug, but I'm really excited. Just recently this photo was added to the DB as my 175th here on Airliners.net! I'm excited because I believe it's one of my better photos - the sun reflecting off the tail, the position of the aircraft, the great cloud/sky combo... Here it is:

Again, thanks for all the advice in the past to everyone who offered it (Cfalk, Granite, Peter, Mirage, Thomas - among others).

You're welcome Stephan, I remember that time around June.

I'm always glad to help but when someone starts to beat on a dead horse is enough for me.

Wonderful photo.

Stephan: you and AerLingus are doing so well!

Its really nice to see so many people developing well, except for me. Fortunetly, i have actually found what i have been doing wrong (well, never being in good weather/right side of aircraft doesn't count). Since i have found just what i am doing wrong!

Regards

Dan

I just passed the 100 mark myself but I didn't bother to say anything. This happens to be the big 100. I dont get out very often (once a month) so 100 in that amount of time Im quite pleased of

Its one im quite proud of. Slow shutter speed (1/125), good contrast in colours, good lighting etc.....

Stephan, I'm actually a bit of a follower of your work so keep it up

Cheers,
Martin

Dan,

Don't worry, you're doin' fine. Your slides and scans are on the way back to you and I'll be very very disappointed if you don't get a few accepted. Just hang in there...!

Andy

PS: Stephan, congrats on your 175! Since March-ish I'm on 624 though I haven't had time to scan anything for a month. 175 seems but a distant memory though one day we'll both make a grand!

Andy, i hope so!!!

Thanks for all the scanning, i know that i have been under-exposing ALL my shots, and this is partly to do with the fact that i am using an SLR as a point & shoot.

Well, when i get a new camera i will use it properly hehe Big grin

Regards

Dan

once a month is not bad!

Last time i went to an airport was 22nd September and that was only for 2 hours while we waited for my brother to arrive at paddington station!

I should really get out more, unfortunetly buying a new camera would limit me alot more  Sad
