Hello fellow members During the summer I took trip to Beirut and took some pictures of various airlines and airplanes on the return leg in Beirut, London, and Chicago all of these pictures were taken with my Sony DSC-W55 camera but everytime i try to upload them i get this message

The filename didn't end with .jpg (or .jpeg). Example: testname.jpg

You used spaces, plus signs or other non-alphabetic characters in the filename. A filename may only include the letters A-Z, a-z, digits 0-9 and the minus (-), period (.) and underspace (_) signs (but may not begin with any of the last three).

Can someone plese help

Did you edit the photos at all or are they straight from the camera?

It looks like there aren't any photos on the site taken with the W55 - none marked as such anyway - so you could well be disappointed. The quality from a compact camera can be nowhere near that of a DSLR.

Your little camera with only 3x zoom cost 230dls new, you need at least a super zoom point and shoot with 10X or more zoom, there are many good ones from Canon, Olympus, Fuji, etc for around that price so you would be wise to sell yours.

The Canon 40D Body was recently on sale with ZipZoomFly for $650 (no tax free ship). They've brought the coupon code back a few times... well worth it. I also snagged a 70-200 f/4 from Amazon using an AMEX wish certificate for $458 shipped

Point is... SHOP AROUND!

What are you looking for? A full DSLR or just a point and shoot.

I just got a point and shoot, a Canon S5 IS. This camera has a 12x optical zoom. However, a downside is, it was elminated by Canon recently, and I'm not sure if you can find them on close out anywhere. You might check some of the ebay stores or just for a lightly used one on ebay. I got mine for 199.99 USD. A great camera for a point and shoot.

You can't upload direct from the camera!, in PS or which ever you use select 'save as' from the file menu and change the name to suit and save it as a JPEG file from the menu.
