Why Only Four Delta 744 Photos In Database?

For all the hoopla surrounding Delta's newly acquired 747s, why are there only four photos in the A.net database? I know for a fact that some GREAT air-to-air photos were rejected, and were you to see them, you'd be flabbergasted and hard-pressed to understand why. I can't imagine that no one else has been submitting these photos, so there must be some other explanation. Comments, please!

Maybe because there is only one plane flying around...!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's only been a few weeks since they merger and A.net has some pretty high standards

That's right. Only one 747 has been repainted in DL livery so far: N665US. I was also looking if there was already a picture of a DL A319/320 but there is none yet. It'll take two years to repaint the whole NW fleet in DL colours.

Can we see them somewhere else?

also, it was sent directly from paint into revenue service. If there had been some sort of announced tour, then there may have been a few more scheduled opportunities to photograph it.

The thing is basically airborne for 20 out of every 24 hours.

And it's the only one so far.

Not a lot of opportunities to see it yet, that's all.

Baloney. Stick to the facts. The photog had some good looks at the aircraft but either his equipment or post-processing talent wasn't up to par.

Don't blame the screeners for that.

My own personal opinion on the matter is that the photos were taken by someone who tagged along during the photo flight and the shots suffered from shooting out of dirty windows with marginal equipment.

It is not easy to get good shots through the standard glass of the plane, and those for sure were not the images that the client paid for.

As someone who has been up a couple of times I speak from experience.

They may not be in the database, but there are plenty of other photos elsewhere...

A little effort, Google.com, and a Flickr search go a long way.

Confused I get the impression from Royal's post that he has already seen the pics and has already given his opinion on them.

Here are the photos. A special thanks to Rwy04LGA and Granite as well as the overwhelming number of people who emailed their positive comments and compliments when I originally posted some of these to another thread. Also my thanks to Granite and the other friendly screeners who offered to help "tweak" the images for upload to the database.
