Hi guys,

I'll spend some days in Switzerland in March and intended to do some spotting on the mentioned airbase in Meiringen, Payerne or Sion. My main goal would be to photograph some military jets.
Anyone of you got some good information about spotting locations, possible restrictions and more importantly the schedules of military traffic?

Cheers,

Thierry

Here's some good information, although for Sion it is restricted to Scramble members:

The only restriction is that you're not allowed to stand on the aircraft shelters at Payerne, although at Meiringen you can... Meiringen is both strange and scenic, much recommended.
You can even ask about expected flights at the base information office, between Spot 9 and the pakring lot. And you can sleep here too at the Unterbach inn.

At Payerne along the northern taxiway you'll find the Clin d'Ailes museum.
