I'll definitely be there on Wednesday as I managed a free trade day ticket. Depending on how Wednesday goes and the weather I may go on Thursday as well.

Quoting Cpd (Reply 3): I heard it wasn't going to be very well attended (with the finance crisis)
Don't know about that. I've just talked over the phone with a friend who is actually working at the air show now, and he's worked at the most of the previous ones. He says it doesn't look much different from the previous years as far as aircraft attendance.
Then again, I'll always look at the bright side. If it is somewhat less attended by the public - so much the better for the photographers .

I guess that's me. I've been at Avalon since Saturday. Just home for the night, then back again tomorrow. In terms of aircraft, there are more on site than the corresponding time last year. Can't say how the crowds will pan out as there haven't been any yet

I am going on the Saturday and Sunday.
Flying SYD-MEL on DJ and then AVV-SYD on JQ.
Does anyone know of a cheap accommodation in the Geelong/Avalon area??
Cheers
Nick
