On Friday, I will be transiting CPH on my way from ATL to OSL. I will land around 8am on Delta, and leave on SK for OSL some time in the afternoon (staff standby travel, so I can pick any flight I want).

Can anybody recommend any spots available on foot from the terminal?

Friday has a wind prediction from west, so I expect that the landings will be from the coast. You can reach RWY 22L in approx 15 minutes by foot from the terminal, or use the economy car park shuttle bus that stops very close to 22L, at Parking P15. Only negative thing is that you will only get planes with a blue sky backdrop. Other than that I recommend a cab to Flyvergrillen on Amager Landevej that has a spotting deck with a view of 22R where you can get taxiing aircraft, and aircraft on take off roll.

I almost gave up after two hours of calm winds and 4L/R traffic. Then as I headed towards the P17 bus, I saw a plane on final for 22L. Good a few good shots then, including all the SK heavies arriving.

Too bad about the 4L but I'm glad you got the SK heavies anyway.
I prefer 4L landings though, but then you need a car, good knowledge of the area and at least a 3 step ladder. If you happen to come back I'd love to take you around! Unfortunately I had a busy day at work Friday, and a routine check up at the doctors with my 7 week old son.

I'd love to come back and spend a day and night in CPH (since I obviously can't make it back the same day)  Smile
