Hi all,

I'm hoping to get to San Jose, CA during the next couple of weeks for some photos.

Photos of inbounds at the end of runways 30L/R seem to be popular shots posted here on A.net. From Google Maps I see that Airport Blvd and Coleman Ave run round the southern perimiter of the airfield - is this where I need to be heading to get similar shots?

Any thoughts and tips would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks in advance,

Well, what you should do is park in the SJSU parking lot adjacent to Coleman/Airport interesection, and then walk out near the fence. The road is above the fence so you wont have any obstruction.

Time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted.

If you like touch down/rotation shots, you can position yourself in the long term lot near the tower and park close to the fence. It's $1 for every 20 minutes. Bring a step ladder so you can get your lens above the fence level.

Do you ever get hassled with the step ladder?
