I wonder what is the smallest screen size for comfortable photo editing.

Currently I am using a 15" Acer laptop for my editing. However I would like to get a smaller / lighter computer for my travels and layovers. A 13" laptop looks light enough at less than 2 kg but I wonder how comfortable and accurate is photo editing on such a small screen.

Couldn't you just get a new 15" MacBook Pro?

I use those at work and find them to be very light. The screen is also pretty decent too - not to mention the performance is quite good.

You could run Windows with VMWare Fusion (works fine for us) or Bootcamp.

Hi,
well I'm using the new 13inch MacBook. As a photographer I'm using this device only for a quick review and maybe some minor editing to show off to clients. Everything else would drive me nuts. It's fast enough, no doubt about that, but real post processing on that tiny screen is kinda difficult.

Maybe it's just me as I'm used to work on a 30inch Apple Cinema Display.

Maybe you should just head out and take a look which screen fits your needs.

greetings,
Dennis
