Should photos I uploaded only to myaviation show in the waiting to review queue?

Thanks,

Paul

I don't think so, as no one should have to review them, they get added automatically (at least they used to). Are your shots stuck in the queue?

Hi Paul,

There might be another glitch going on at Myaviation. We're looking into it, and I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for your patience.

i taught they check them to see if there is at least 1 thing that relates to aviation,

i.e airport,landing gear.....or just a plane!

The photos are indeed screened. In short, photos must contain either an aircraft or an airport to be accepted. For example, a window view that contains only farm fields and no visible part of the aircraft will not be added. Nor will photos of aircraft models.

So while Myaviation photos are not screened for quality, they are indeed screened for content.

Thanks 2H4. Is the screening timeframe the same weekish?

Just curious... Who is screening for MyAviation.net? Same screeners as for the Aiirliners.net photos?

Seems like a very straightforward screenihg, not requiring any particular training; could be done by anyone really. Would be a waste of time for the qualified screeners, if they have to do it.

Cheers,
Andrei

I stand corrected. That makes sense though, at least there's some form of control.

It's been inconsistent lately, for many reasons. Sometimes, the queue is brought down to zero every couple of days. Other times, it takes a week or more for that to happen. On average....I'd say every 5 days or so.

By this time next month, Myaviation screening will be much more consistent, and it should take no more than a day or two for your uploaded photos to appear in the Myav database.

No, the Airliners screeners work only with Airliners photos, for precisely the reason you describe.

Paul,

Can you check your photos now? The Myav queue is down to zero, and your photos should be displaying properly.
