Quoting Conoramoia (Reply 3): i taught they check them to see if there is at least 1 thing that relates to aviation,
i.e airport,landing gear.....or just a plane!
The photos are indeed screened. In short, photos must contain either an aircraft or an airport to be accepted. For example, a window view that contains only farm fields and no visible part of the aircraft will not be added. Nor will photos of aircraft models.
So while Myaviation photos are not screened for quality, they are indeed screened for content.

Just curious... Who is screening for MyAviation.net? Same screeners as for the Aiirliners.net photos?
Seems like a very straightforward screenihg, not requiring any particular training; could be done by anyone really. Would be a waste of time for the qualified screeners, if they have to do it.

I stand corrected. That makes sense though, at least there's some form of control.

Quoting FlyAA757 (Reply 5): Thanks 2H4. Is the screening timeframe the same weekish?
It's been inconsistent lately, for many reasons. Sometimes, the queue is brought down to zero every couple of days. Other times, it takes a week or more for that to happen. On average....I'd say every 5 days or so.
By this time next month, Myaviation screening will be much more consistent, and it should take no more than a day or two for your uploaded photos to appear in the Myav database.

No, the Airliners screeners work only with Airliners photos, for precisely the reason you describe.
