Hi everybody.

I'd like to start a thread about those pictures you're pursuing for a long time, if any.... I'm not talking about your ideas and secret projects of course... But talk about this picture you are waiting for a long time.

Here's mine. I'm waiting for about three years for a specific sunrise position, and it only happens about 15Nov or about 15Jan. I need the rising sun giving a reddish light on certain point; but in the cloudy area where I live, there's a small possibility of having a clear daybreak on winter, so I wait year after year for this scenario to happen...
I'm waiting for another special capture as well, but there's too many people and conditions involved so I'm afraid this will be some kind of astral conjunction it may never happen.

Are you waiting for some special picture? Did you get the one you were longly expecting?

Stil

I kinda am. For my shot, I need sun and rain and it involves taking a photo of a B738 (or bigger if possible!).

It first requires rain in order to make the runway wet, then sun to make a silhouet or just great light, while the aircraft is taking off at that moment. Of course I also need to be on duty and have time to take the shots.

It comes very close to this one, but not quite the same (please forgive my self-plug):

Yours is much more difficult, but still I've been trying to get mine right for a year now.
