Maybe it has been mentioned before, but checking the site statistics at http://www.airliners.net/about/photographers.main?sort_order=avgsum I have noticed that Mr. Tim de Groot has become the first member of the +1000 pictures/+10000 average views exclusive club. I know none of you care about views, but I think it is quite an achievement, nevertheless.
Serge Bailleul, French Frogs and Sam Chui are close behind
A light-hearted post in preparation for the weekend.
Cheers,
j
P.S: Just for the record, the topic title I chose was "1000/10000", for some reason it keeps being edited by the crew.

I didn't know there was an exclusive club to enter at 1000/10000 otherwise I'd have made a bigger effort with my uploads (only in the 1000/1000 club ...).

Ah, we love to play with the stats. On that note, two other members are very close to reach the 10000 / 1000 level, but sadly they are no longer with us.

Thanks so much guys. It's a little sad to be the only member of the club so I hope I will get some company soon

I had nothing to do with it J
5 years ago even the then famous 1000/1000 club seemed way out of reach. Things have certainly changed around here. I think an average of 1000s views is considered pretty normal these days. Even though we all sense viewcounts have dropped things are still going strong and our averages keep going up.

Yea right. biggrin
Haha I am ready to admit I do care about views, otherwise I would just stick to my Flickr account where I can upload anything I like, but dont even get 1 percent of the views I get here.
Thanks to all the viewers! It's certainly amazing when I think about how many people have seen my shots on here. I am still way behind some other people though Like Sam Chui or Andrew Hunt who have more than double my views...wow.

I'm not too sure about that though; personally I find it harder to get a certain number of views in the first 24h but in the longer run I find views increasing much faster than in the past.
That's only a personal observation, don't know how far this is true for others.

As I have told you before, you are my favorite photographer on this website. I really do look up to you and enjoy viewing all your photos both on ATI and Airliners.
