Whoa! That is stunning. I'd be curious to know if they were using the D2x's crop mode, making that 400 into an 800mm equivalent focal length.

Tim -- you know I've been thinking about that, using a D2x and a 300mm with a 1.4 extender to get an 840mm handholdable monster to photograph airliners at cruise level from the ground. You'll see something like that from me in the queue someday. I'm kind of prepared for a blurry rejection tho.  Smile
