I was at LAX today and there were running reverse traffic until about 1pm. I was in the Imperial Lot from about 9am until 12pm when I went to Big Cargo and got some 747s taking off on 07L long and heavy! Nice shots of them going by with the gear tucking up. About 1pm the traffic went back to normal and had a nice afternoon of shooting. Curious about anything at LAX? Check out Socal Airport Spotters at http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/socalairportspotters

In 15 years of living at LAX, I never once got to visit the airport while they were landing on 6 or 7.... sigh....
Sandpiper road must be pretty good for shots then!

Gateway Cargo have no problem..I shooted there 3 days in a row from 28-30/11
Also good at Imperial and DHL Cargo (small Cargo lot) and Imperial Hill.(For MD11 take off its impressive!)
I will soon upload a few pics of my LAX shooting trip last month.
