Just went to get some night shots of a F28 which came in instead of the usual Dash 8. I set up near the terminal on top of a little hil when I noticed a security guard coming towords me.
I thought ohh no, I've waited so long to get a F28 shot at YKA and now this guy is gonna boot me. However to my suprise he was quite nice but didn't seem to understand why I would want to take photos of airlplanes. I told him it was a hobby of mine and he didn't have anything against that. He did write down my name and birthdate though as well as asked my for ID which I didn't have(doh). While I was taking my various exposures he went and interviewd my dad who drove me down and asked for his ID. Everything checked out a-ok and he supervised me while I took my time exposures. This is the first time i've seen security outside of the terminal so it apperent how serious things have gotten lately.
When I was finished he wished my a good night and went about his business.
p.s. Getting the F28 shot was really important to me as im out of the city for good in just a few hours. Seeing a F28 here is very rare so Im thinking some higher power might of interfered to bring this bird in on my very last day here. Hopefully at least one of my exposures on 400ASA and f5.6 turn out, they range from 5 to 50 seconds.

I once found a really neat spot outside the fence of NCL airport. And it took less than 30sec before the first patrol car reached me, and drove me back to the terminal area.
Turns out I was on private property, but no signs said so.
They guys were gentle, and luckilly didn't put on any gloves or anything.
