I have the following 2 shots in the queue, but struggled a bit with the editing due to the time of day they were taken - right around sunet.

1st shot - not too sure of the colour due to the colour cast being caused by the setting sun.

2nd shot

Could do with some opinions on these please.

Regards

Mark

1. Could get rejected for colour. It could do with a tiny bit more sharpening on the titles but otherwise looks pretty good.

2. Too backlit and dark at the same time; the first image is much better.

If the colour is caused by the sunset (low sun), then state that in the comments. The colour should be believable.

In a sunset, the whites are not going to be white - they will have a orange/red cast. In this case, I think - make the sure the contrast is correct, and make sure that the colour cast is believable.

I wouldn't recommend to correct the sunset colour cast, because it makes the image look strange. Note - I'm not an a.net photographer (don't have more than 50 images accepted here) so I probably don't know what I'm talking about.

The second image, no chance for here. Keep it though, news sites sometimes like those kinds of images.

HEAD SCREENER

For the first, looks good, agree to comment that taken at sunset, don't try to correct color cast. Looks like a sunset shot.

The second has awesome, and i mean awesome colors and "mood". I think though (the dreaded "but") the quality of the base aircraft image isn't there. If it was my shot, I'd print it and hang in my office though.

Nice work.

Thanks,

here's a different edit of the 1st shot without such a red colour cast to it.

Is this better than the 1st edit?

I guess it seemed to me like there was a bit too much red on in the front and the funny colour under the nose had me guessing twice.

Try again with the proper link?

Eek, too much green cast. I prefer the first shot.

Thanks Nicholas,

I'll keep the first edit in the queue then.
