AIRLINERS.NET CREW PHOTO SCREENER
It is with great sadness that I let the community know that our friend, Erick Lopez (777MechSys) has passed away, at the age of 33.
Erick was an amazing photographer and my best friend, the closest thing I ever had to a brother. As a fellow member of the screening team, Erick found great joy in experiencing photographers and photographs from all around the world. We often privately shared the shots that we considered to be "Sierra Hotel," and the skill that was needed to capture such images.

Sorry to hear about this. My sincere condolences to you and Erick's family and friends.
I spent some time having a good look through his collection of shots that are here. A nice, varied selection of different types and themes, well crafted and with a wicked sense of humour in many of the comments. However, I found this comment, below a T-33 at night, particulary moving:
"It's not just about taking pictures at night. It's about spending time with your best friend while taking photos at night."

I didn't know Erick, but his name kinda stuck out, rang a bell as such. Man, I can not believe this. Whatever it was, 33 is just stupid. So to his family, my prayers go out to you and Erick tonight. And again Royal, sorry mate....
