2009 has come and gone. What are your highlights of 2009 and what are your goals or ambitions into the photography and especially aviation photography hobbies for 2010?
It's been a good year for me on A.net, but I haven't really done much in the past 3 or 4 months. My goals for next year is to pass the 100 mark and hopefully spend some time spotting with or meeting other spotters and photographers as I go along. My other goal is a shot I have been waiting on for 3 years and the opportunity has not been quite right yet. Due to the originality of the motive, I can't explain what it is, but hopefully you guys will see sometime this year. I'm feeling lucky.

I'll achieve 1 goal quite early in the new year which I have just failed to do in 2009 - 150 shots on A.net. I will have fallen 4 shots shy of the target.
My primary goal for the coming year is to continue to get more of my back catalogue of shots from 2008 and 2009 edited and uploaded. Something I have not really made time for in the past.

Save up, buy a 100-400mm L, go shooting. Maybe travel elsewhere to get shots. Get a lot more photos uploaded! No specific target because that depends on how often I go spotting.

I pretty much met all my goals for 2009 but then mine are pretty simple; enjoy my aviation photography. Above all else, that's the one that matters. My goals for 2010 are to visit two aviation museums that have been on my list for a year or two and to travel to a couple of new places, hopefully the far east. I've still to travel on the 777, that would be nice too. I don't bother setting number of photos to achieve, but I'll be passing the 3,000 mark soon so that'll be a nice milestone.
Happy snapping for 2010

I have missed it by 1
I have had a hand full of rejections over the last week-10days, but one that would've got me to 150 was rejected this morning for center which I can't really see.
Next year i'd like to upload 200............Might be a little optimistic, But I only started in Feb 2009. I had a shed fill of rejections before understanding about photography lighting and conditions etc, getting the right work flow for editing, and upgrading my lense with help from fellow A.netter Karl Nixon.
I also plan on 'getting around' a little more. A week in LEBL/BCN is already booked and paid for, I'm working on EHAM/AMS.

I have no specific goals set for 2010, I would just be happy if I can find the fun again working on a "working PC" (I have had problems with 2 of my home-PC's and e-mail system for more than two months now, and while having a very busy job I could not find the time to look for repair...). One PC is in repair now and I hope to have it fixed soon, so that I can also start uploading again!

Couldn't agree more Vasco! Except for the fact that I don't have a daughter! Hahaha

I had a number of plans for year 2009 and had complete almost all. Upcoming year is a bit more difficult to say what is in plans as far as there are no concrete figures or marks I'm going to achieve. Might be 20 mln views on A.net?
Just more interesting staff for myself, for the magazines, for you my friends and colleagues. More sales, indeed . More new places, more types. More nice people all over the world - our globe is not so huge - aviation confirms that.
Il-86 most probably will be removed from the fleets finally in 2010. Hope to be in time to make some reports airborne. Might be some reports which are under discussion and hopefully will be realised (still bit a secret ) Oshkosh is in plans for 2010. Lets see.
Wish you plans to be realised, guys! Happy New Year!

After almost 2 years of a sabbatical (might as well have been) I shall return in 2010 back into the hobby. So my only aim is to get out to the airport more often than has been the case over the past 2 years and get a little more travel done!
So my aims for 2010:
1) Make a few visits to MAN/LHR.
2) Get back into the flow of things i.e post processing.
3) Upload a little more.
4) Print more images.
5) 2 Trips to the states, 2 or 3 into Europe.
6) Shoot a 787.
Happy new year guys, cant wait to catch up with old faces and make friends with new!

Had a poor year, aviation wise, 2009. I'm with Paul in so much as I would actually like to surpass the 5m/2000 mark. Either one would be a personal achievement, nothing more than that. Hopefully I'll get back into the shows during the season, it's always fun!! I want to find new spots no matter where I am. Venture out more when the light's at its best. Make new friends and travel more. The new camera is on order so that's covered but a couple of lenses are still needed. God, there's so much really...
Spence.

I'd love to capture a 787. For me, that's not likely to occur until they enter revenue service, however, so 2010 probably isn't my year for this. I'd also like to capture a FedEx 777 at Memphis, and that one at least should be achievable. It's possible that later this year Lufthansa will introduce A380 service to JFK, and Emirates will return with 380 service, and I'd like to capture both of these events.
Otherwise, my normal routine of carrying my camera with me when I travel and monthly or so jaunts to BDL should continue for this year.
On the A.net front, my primary goal is 2,000 shots in the database. I have 293 to go for that, so I'll have to be quite prolific this year if I want to meet that goal. So far I have a whopping 1 photo in queue for the year.
