Pentax Lenses With Canon/Nikon/Etc. Cameras?

Hello peoples,
I was searching through my attic for something when I found an old Pentax MZ-10 with the SMC Pentax-F 35-80 mm lens and a SMC Pentax-F 100-300 mm lens, an Olympus IS-20 with the add-on lens. Now obviously the two SLR's I found are over 10 years old, and using them is not possible, but I wouldn't mind getting another SLR body to use with those lenses. Now my question was if there could be any relatively cheap body of a modern camera (eg. using things like SD Cards instead of the films) and attach those Pentax lenses to make a good camera? Could any of you tell me them so I could try to convince my parents into buying them? :P
Thanks,
vincyag2000

Um.... perhaps a Pentax DSLR? Or that would be too logical...

Both the K-x and the K7 have been pretty well received. Your profile says you're in Japan, and Pentax has its largest market share there compared to the rest of the world, so if you were to look, that would be the place. While there is no true pro offering, I can tell you from firsthand experience that Pentax what does offer is a very appealing balance of quality, ergonomics, and price.

You can contact me if you want more info/advice.

Haha. well, the problem is that I am not exactly the richest kid on the block, and just the body of the K-x costed about 50,000 yen. Just for comparison, the Macbooks cost 98,000 yen. Before saying other companies, I already checked the Pentax cameras
Well I checked for some bodies that I could get, and well I finished with this list:
1. Nikon D3000
2. Sony Alpha A330
3. Canon EOS 1000D

Now does anybody know if those Pentax lenses could fit into those bodies?

Thanks in advance

Ok, so the D3000 goes for ¥35,000 and and the Pentax K-m which has almost exactly the same specs as the D3000 goes for ¥31,000. It sounds like you've already decided to get a Nikon or Sony instead of Pentax, at which point I would ask what would be the point of finding an adapter to use low-end Pentax glass on a different make body? If you really want a Nikon, just forget the Pentax lenses and go buy a Nikon body with the kit lens. If you're intent on 'saving money' with the lenses you already have, then get the K-m, which will retain all the functionality of the lenses, and is cheaper than the other bodies listed.

Pentax K-m

Buying an adapter will severely limit your lenses' functionality on another make's body, and by the sounds of the effort you're willing to put in, would be far more trouble that it would be worth.

Well, I checked the K-m model. Its excellent!!   Thank you   I went on the Pentax website to check the models, and it didn't say anything about the K-m, so I couldn't find anything about it. Thank you for the link and the price man!   Thanks a lot! The perfect price to lure my parents into buying it for me
Thanks,
