Hi all,

first of all please note that with this question i am not intending to insult anyone here on a.net!!!

Now and then i do get a bit confused...

Is a centered aircraft (on the photo) a must?

One of my photo´s got rejected for that reason today.

There are quite a few displayed here which are not centered.

For example:

So is there anyone here who could clear up my question?

Best Regards

No, it's not a MUST. However, if the aircraft isn't more-or-less centered, there should be some good reason for it. For example, perhaps there is something in the foreground or background that you particularly want in the pic (say, the control tower in the background, or another airplane). When it isn't acceptable is when there is no good reason for it. So, in your pic Edwin, why is the aircraft off to one side? (also, why is your horizon not level? If I had been screening it, your pic would also have been rejected because all the buildings in the background are leaning to the right!)

...see the tallest chimney/tower on the building under the aircraft is perpendicular? Check it out. Maybe the building on the right hand side was built with a sloping roof?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy  Smile/happy/getting dizzy  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Okay, maybe half a degree out, but not much.

I reckon the space on the right hand side is balanced by that nice logo Edwin uses.
Obviously logo's don't mean anyhing on a.net but if it was a product placement poster, it would be fine.

Thank you very much for clearing up my question!

I´ll try to fix it up as suggested and upload it again.  Smile

A peaceful and prosperous "HAPPY NEW YEAR" to everyone here on airliners.net.

Best Regards
