This photo was rejected because of low esthetic qualities...

Please look at the photo and tell me what's wrong with it!

I guess it got rejected because of the angle. The panel is not perpendicular to the film.
There's also a hand in the picture  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

The angle is not that bad a problem, but J.T. is right about the hand - it's very distracting. I didn't screen the picture but I would have done the same. The image quality however is quite good.

Right, hands distract a lot, books on the glareshield dont help and you dont have to get always black screens when you use flash, see this for example and go  Wow!

Whoop, the difference is that in Ivan's pics, sure the hand/arm is also visible but it is not by any means the main focus of attention. In Finnair's pic it is simply too much in the foreground, as if it were the actual subject. And just as Airliners.net only permits people in photographs if they are not the subject, the same basic rule applies.
