Hey I will go to Nice, France within the next couple of weeks and do any of you know some good spotting locations at Nice Côte d'Azur airport and at Monaco Heliport? I will be using a 24-70mm, 70-200mm lens.

Thanks,

Xavier

Hallo Xavier,

I really enjoyed photography at Monaco Heliport in the late afternoon.

Sun in your back and quite a bit of traffic. Contrary to what you might expect, taking photos was no problem and parking is easy and cheap: there's a parking garage right at the end of Avenue des Ligures, which is free for the first hour, and if you're as cheap as I am, you can drive out and back in again.

There's a beach spot at NCE, near a shopping center named Cape 2000, West of the airport terminals.
You can park your car at said shopping mall with no problems and then shoot arrivals for rwy 04L (preferred one there) and line-ups at 04R (although grass etc. may be partyl covering aircraft wheels there).

The spot is only good in the lateish afternoon, I'd say from about 5-6pm to sunset.

04L landings:

You can also shoot parked jets at the Eastern end of the airport, but you'll need a ladder to see above the covered fence.
