Hello everyone,
I've had an e-mail form a company asking to use some of my photos to sell as framed prints at an airshow. They will be selling A3 sized images, framed up for about £12-15 each. They want 7-10 images.
I've no idea about costings for this and they don't know how many they will be selling. How much should I charge?

Hey Opso1,
glad to hear from you again!
First off, I'd say selling framed A3 prints of what I'd expect from you to be pretty rare motives for £12-15 is rather cheap (too cheap imo).
If that has to be the price though and they do the printing and framing themselves I'd say you can't ask more than ~ £5 per photo.
If you want my honest opinion, if you're not after some cheap publicity, this is selling your pictures way under price.

Thanks, as ever, for your feedback Thierry.
I've e-mailed them back with my price and will await further reply from them... I think that they are getting a good deal as they will not be the run of the mill images that most stalls sell at airshows. Maybe I should set up my own stall??? I'd have to get wifie to stand at the stall as I'd be too busy on the flightline!!!
