I wanted to go to Opa Locka, and I wanted to know if you can walk around and take pictures freely if you ask the airport.

www.airnav.com will help you out. Type the airport name you're interested in and you'll be given in depth info about the airport. The airport manager's name and number will be listed too. I've always had good luck when I called ahead. One time the manager took my husband and I all over the airport in a golf cart, even on the taxiways when the runway was active. The manager swore us to secrecy with that one!

Brick - what the hell is that? I keep staring at it like it's one of those 3-D paintings that you have to be stoned to see the image. I think I see a hand? LOL

Vicky, it's an ASCII version of one of the best known pictures used in internet forums:
BTT - I've been in OPF in April, and the folks there are very friendly and cooperative, indeed. I'd recommend to start at the county office at NW 41st Ave (at the main entrance road to the airport) and ask for photo opportunities there.
All in all I must say, OPF was one of the greatest spotting experiences I ever had. Never met such friendly and open-minded folks at any other airport.
