Afternoon all,
Just windered if there were any Anetters in the vicinity of Oslo Gardermoen who would like to show me the best spots for getting pictures (when it isn't either snowing or dismal)
I've found a couple of possible places but, not knowing the area and being decidedly foreign, I am a bot loath to just park up and take pics where I might be pulled up.
I'm currently working for Norwegian Air Shuttle for the next three months - not the best time of year but it's quite lucrative!

Gothenburg? Hmmmm, well, I have next weekend off so I may see if I can do a trip. However, I shall have to see whether the hire car I have is allowed into Sweden!

Spencer, I had no idea you are located in Gothenburg!
I go there every once in a while, but have not found any good spots to shoot at GOT, last time I got soaking wet after a looong walk though a forestry area off RWY 21, and another time we walked up to RWY 03, just to find....nothing, nothing but a guard who had a bad day and a window that wouldn't go up on his car and took it all out on us!
But I guess there are some really nice spots out there
I know MMX and CPH like my own backyard, and would love to know GOT that way too.

Andy/John, not to get too far OT but if either of you decide on visiting let me know, I'll pick you up and show you around for sure. GOT has plenty of charters still to offer, many fairly good mixed in with the usual stuff down to Turkey, Egypt and the Canaries.
GSE, however, is very much different. A relatively quiet airport but certainly the better of the two regarding spots and accessibility. And now with the snow on the ground it really offers amazing views. In fact excellent views of both sides of the single rwy, in both directions, can be had. Sadly, only RYR and WZZ and another local a/l operate here. I believe Fridays are very busy though.
John, yes unfortunately the forest trek you mentioned is probably one of the only ways out to at least one of the spots but there are a couple of others that offer a somewhat decent view of the traffic.
Andy, I read on one of our local forums NAX was due to start into GOT, could've been on the ARN run however. What capacity will you be working for them if I may ask? PM if you wish.
Cheers,
Spence.
