I would like to take the opportunity to post my congratulations to my friend Gabor Hajdufi, who has just crossed the 'One million views' line on A.net. I know he will be very pleased.
By far the best aspect of membership of this site is the opportunity it presents to get to know people all around the globe who share an interest in aviation and aviation photography. Gabor is one of the people it has been a great pleasure for me to get to know via the internet/email, and I hope that one day we will have the opportunity to take a few photos together. He is also one of this cohort of friends I have made in my 6+ years on the site who puts me to shame with his fantastic grasp of English - not his mother tongue - and leaves me wondering if I would ever be capable of getting even half way to speaking/writing in a second language like he does. A real gentleman and a pleasure to have a chat with on a regular basis.
I first came across Gabor when I saw this great photo:
By no means his most popular photo - as measured by number of views - but still for me one of the stand-out photos in his excellent portfolio. I was keen to know more about the details involved in capturing the photo, so contacted him via the site - his response was swift, friendly and encouraging. The best of A.net.

AIRLINERS.NET CREW PHOTO SCREENER
Thank you very much guys for your kind words. This surely is a milestone I was very happy to achieve.
But it is worth a million times more to be able to meet other people with the same interest than having a few thousand views on a few dozen photos on this site.
Thanks again for everything.
Your photos are like your children, you will always find them perfect.
