Hello all. I am coming to EDI. I manged to take advantage of easyjets new LGW-EDI service and also the offer in the daily express. I only pay tax and its a free flight so £10.

Although I am only there for 2 hours!! I am really just doing it for the flight but is it possible to see much at EDI in a couple of hours?

LGW

Glad you comming to Edinburgh. When you arrive you will have to go through and check back in again. Let me know when your commin up. I will speak to a few friends and sort something good out for you.

When your in the terminal all stands North Side stands can be seen. Aircraft can be photographed through the glass. A 200mm lens will get the taxiway and a 300mm the Runway.

See you soon
Colin

When I say 2 hours I mean I land at about 1.30 and leave at about 5, I get about 2 hours before I have to checkin again to go back.

"I will speak to a few friends and sort something good out for you"

What do you mean by that?

Thanks for your help Cabbot

I went to EDI for a daytrip last year and I flew on Easyjet as well. They were great. Low prices, and got to see the cockpit on both flights!!! Even stayed for the Landing on the trip up to EDI from Luton!

I asked at the airport if there's a spectators area, but they said it was closed some time ago.

Have a good trip anyway!

It's a 15-20 minute walk from the passenger terminal to the Ingliston carpark if you want to avoid shooting through glass. I hope Colin sets you up okay.
I'll email you too...
You should be able to get a shot of a Loganair SAAB340 at least!
Good luck..

Gerry/EDI
