I have this problem too, in that I tend to work through the latest corrections submissions first, but often don't have time to do them all in one go. Consequently, the next time I load up there is another batch of newer ones to go through first, and it takes a while to get to the older ones.
In my case, though, this makes good sense as the most recent submissions are the ones most likely to contain urgent items, such as someone who's labelled their A330 as a B767, got the airline wrong, dated the photo in November 2000, or any other such stuff. These have to be attended to swiftly otherwise even more submissions for the same photos quickly start piling up.
Submissions that require research, such "this aircraft wasn't flying with this airline in 19xx" and "this looks more like LAX than SFO" tend to go on the backburner until there's more time to deal with them effectively.
BTW, don't you guys find the correction facility useful? I was looking at another photo database the other day that didn't have this feature, and I noticed several mis-identified aircraft. But no correction facility was available, and emailing a list seemed too much of a chore, so I wasn't able to help them out. On this website, if you spot something wrong, just a mouse click and you can bring it to our attention.

Just uploaded some pictures tonight around 08.30pm EST(Boston) that means 02.30am in Sweden and shortly after that I got my confirmation back.
15 pic uploaded and 15 accepted, it is really fun to contribute to this website.

That's another question - how come popular photographers, just like Vasco, get their photos uploaded and accepted ASAP, while the rest of us have to wait forever? No nagging, no bitching on other photographers. I'm just curious. Is it just that Johan adds all their pics without looking at them, since he knows that they are good enough for the database?

That is excatly what happens, there were already 950 pictures waiting when I uploaded my pictures last night, so I guess Johan just went through the new additions first, I was just lucky again........
Has nothing to do with the photographer though......

No, hey, I'm not nagging or triyng to mess around. But it's true - my pics can be waiting for a week or more, but all of the sudden, names like Vasco, AirNikon, Alderton and all of them guys with GOOD pics get uploaded and accepted. It just seems like Johan don't even bother looking at the pics, he just assumes that they are good enough.
Again - I'm not saying this to bitch. It's just that I've seen it more than once. I've tried to get an answer from our boss, but nothing yet...

It's been said before on the forum, the pictures are listed in apha-order in his upload pages. Therefore, Airnikon gets his pictures looked at before Chris Coduto's, and Chris gets his looked at before Richard Silagi.

I just wanted to add my 0.02 cents, I can't speak neither for Johan nor AirNikon nor Glenn Alderton I can only tell you guys that even "famous photographers" get rejections ........I myself had to wait for confirmation sometimes for more than 5 days........
p.s. I am sure that Johan looks at every picture to ensure the quality of this site

Ive been follwoing the topic and im still not sure what to expect with my photos.
I uploaded five photos about 3 days ago and havent got a response.....but from reading this post that's quite normal.
However i did upload a few photos about 4 months ago and i never got a response for those.
Just a bit confused with the selection process. I thought i might get a confirmation email telling me my photos had been recieved and were 'in the pipeline'. Should i be getting a confirmation of such sorts?

Once again, this is no bitching about good photographers or the rest of us. I know that all of us get rejected pics. But that wasn't the question.
Vasco, you said that you uploaded some pics the other day, and got the confirmation sorta right away. I've been waiting for over a week now. I use my name when I upload the pics - Daniel. Doesn't D come before V in the alphabet? That's what I'm wondering about. Cuz this has happened lots of times. I've uploaded pics, seen that the new pics added come from all sort of names, A-Z, then it starts all over again but I still haven't even gotten a confirmation mail. See where I'm coming from? That's what I was wondering...

Not that I'm complaining about how things are run around here, but I agree with 9A-CRO...the fair thing to do is run a 'first come, first serve' type of service.
I'm only saying this because my name is late in the alphabet (Scott). So yes, I'm one of those who have to wait for (usaully) a week before I can get any uploads. All the while, people like AirNikon and Craig Murray are the first to be sorted.
ANYWAY...no big deal. As a budding photographer, I'm just happy to have this free service available to us.

Again, I am truly amazed with Johan's sleeping habits.....I uploaded 9 pictures around 10.00 pm Boston time, and now 12.36am (06.36 am CET) I just got the confirmation.
I don't know how you do it....................
Thanks for a great service.
