Hi,
I'm wondering where the best places are in Pittsburgh for plane spotting. I know near PIT.
See, we don't get big jets because we don't have big flights.
The biggest we have are 757s.
Thx
Favorite bands: REM, U2, Coldplay, The Allman Brothers Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beatles, Dave Matthews, and Nirvana.

If any PIT folks can confirm that all the spots in that site are still good for spotting that is a great place to look. Even gives lens length suggestions!

Good luck man. There's plenty of things to do. Go see a Pens game! I live around the BWI area but will be spending my days July 1 to the end of summer around KPIT.

I have spotted right by 28R at the first stoplight on business 376 (if you are heading south). Granted, i only made it there once and that was during last year's Wings over Pittsburgh air show, so I’m not sure if anyone would say anything to you or not now. Also, there are a few parking lots off of business 376 that can give some decent results. I can’t think of the road names off the top of my head though, both are off to the left though if you are heading south.
I was able to get a couple of decent shots just as the a/c was about 10 seconds from touching down there.
You used to be able to get really close to 10L before 9-11. The road was right at the end of the threshold, but they closed it after they put in the new exits.

Is anyone planning on going to Wings over Pittsburgh this year?
