After considering all the suggestions, I decided to buy the newly-relased Nikon P7100. My first impressions were very good. It's a handy device, exactly what I wanted. The tilt screen makes it very easy to shoot from awkward angles, so the reduced focal length in comparison to my old Sony A200 (28mm vs 18mm on the lower end) is of no consequence. I went to try it on a gorgeous day here this month, and gave two of the photographs a try on here. What can I say? Both got accepted, and I think this is owed to the excellent base image quality - I never managed to get shots as those ones with my old camera. Can't wait to take more photographs, especially while on trips. But I since I work at the airport, I sure know how to spend my lunch breaks in the future.
