This is my first post on the Photography forum, so bear with me.
I finally got around to transferring about 1000 old Kodak slides to digital jpeg format. I used a Wolverine unit, so obviously the transfers are not going to be the best quality. But it's a lot better than having decades of your life moldering in the closet.
I came across many photos that I took at JFK and LGA - 727-100s (incl TWA), 727-200s (incl National), 737-200s (incl Piedmont), 747-100s (incl Pan Am, American), 707-320s (incl Pan Am, El Al). Many others.
If I submit them to airliners.net, is there any chance they would be accepted? They're obviously not the best quality, but they do represent a bygone era. Just wondering.

It's impossible to say without seeing some examples. Photos from years gone by have a lower quality requirements, but they still need to have a basic quality.

Post some examples in the Feedback forum, we'd be happy to take a look and let you know. Even if they're not quite up to par, you could maybe get some tips on how to get them there. Older images are always welcome.

If you can get decent scans, the shots can most likely be restored fairly well. For a rather extreme and very impressive example, have a look at this thread:

As noted already, there is more leniency for old scans, but having said that we need to see the examples.
For the slides I take now (usually Ektachrome 100G or Velvia 50) I get production scans to check the general quality, pick he ones I like, then submit the best for higher resolution scans. That might be an option for you as well.

Thank you for all the advice. The original slides were taken with a very fine camera, a Minolta SRT-101 (which I still have in working order, but I never use it). I have regressed to the point-and-shoot phase of my life!
When I move the transfers from the SD card to my computer, I'll be using Kodak's brainless 'enhance' feature on their Gallery software.
Then I'll submit and cross my fingers!
One of the Pan Am 747 photos was the one involved in the Lockerbie crash. That's interesting from a historical viewpoint.
