Hello, at the moment i have a Compact camera (Sony HX1) and i am looking to upgrade too a DSLR as my camera now takes ok photos but there is always alot of grain and noise which i find hard to edit the reason i bought the HX1 was because of its Full HD option, so i wanted to upgrade to an SLR which takes good photos and good videos, the best i have found so far is a Canon 600D, can anyone give me any help on choosing a camera which would suit my needs?
also can anyone help me with this photo? http://www.flickr.com/photos/6568945...642672287/in/photostream/lightbox/
can anyone open it up in their Photoshop and please help me what to edit?, and if it even has any potential?
(please send me your email in a message if you would like to use the photo)

The Canon 600D would be a good choice; as would anything from Nikon and Sony at a similar price. Best thing to do is go and have a play with them all in a shop and buy the one that feels best in your hands.
There is no real 'best' camera as we each want different things from our DSLRs.

I've gotten plenty of photos on here with the basic 18-55 IS kit lens that comes with lower-end Canon DSLRs.
If you do a photo search for "18-55 IS" you'll find all of mine, plus plenty of others, I'm sure.

Ultimately the photographer makes the image, not the lens; although of course the lens helps.
With care, photos more than good enough for A.net can be made with any DSLR lens, so long as you use it within its limitations.
I used to own a really cheap 75-300 (under £150) and have many, many images here taken with it. It was fine as long as I realised its weak point was being stretched over 200mm.
