I going to some spotters in a few days, and I was wondering what is the best camera?? I have a Canon but doesn't take picture very well. I looking for Nikon. It would be also good if it takes good night pictures.
Thanks

There are many amazing shots in this site taken by Canon DSLRs, it is quite bold of you to say that it doesn't take good pictures.
I have used both Canon and Nikon and don't see that much of a difference to say one is better than the other.
There really isn't any such thing as a 'best camera'. Most modern cameras are capable of taking photos. It's the person using the camera that creates the photo, not the camera. The camera just gives you the equipment needed to take the shot and therefore quality might be better, but the shot remains the same. It's impossable to answer your question without knowing a budget, where you intend to use it, what your requirements are etc.

Regardless of brand of camera, you still need to know a little about photography. It might be user error rather than the camera. Canon and Nikon are the two main brands at the moment, and both offer excellent products. There's plenty of others too.
This is quite a specialised area of photography. Unless you have the photographic knowledge and equipment to do it, I would stick with daylight photography for a while. You'll at least need to know about the exposure triangle, white balance and tripods. It's about more than just the camera.

Leticia,
Get a good lens [Canon 70-200 f4 L USM for example], attach to you Canon and go do some spotting!
BTW, which Canon DSLR do you owe?
Do you have any friend who is spotter? You may get some tips and advises from your friend while you'll do that together.
