I did a forum search and couldn't find anything about this recently that hasn't been locked, but has BA's daily to PHX been coming in later than usual? What time, on average, does it come into PHX? Where's the best place to spot it?

Thanks, Zach

Zach;

Flightaware will give you the times.

The sun is setting officially today on PHX at 6:44pm, today's flight coming in around 5pm local - a bit early. Looks like we are getting close to the times where you can grab the arrivals again. the best place is top of Terminal 4 parking garage, the BA 744 usually comes in on runway 26.

why is there such a variation in times? I keep seeing stuff between 5:00 and 7:00.... is it because of delays at LHR?

Speedbird 273 arrives now 2 hours later, takes off at around 10 PM here at SAN. They changed the times, LAS has seen an hour push back now.

Daylight savings time. Europe does not observe the same date as the US (especially after we moved the spring date back a few years ago). The UK changed to DST yesterday so BA should be arriving everywhere an hour earlier again.

I think Big Foot is blurry, Its not the photographers fault. Theres a large out of focus monster roaming the countryside

We don't observe DST here in PHX though. That's why I'm confused.

Heeey make sure you hike some of the mountains while you're here, haha

Damn, I forgot Arizona had to be different.

At least my explanation still holds true for those that mentioned SAN and LAS. All I can say is check the BA timetable on their website. Its quite good and shows you an entire week around the date you select so you can see if times change on specific days of the week etc.

In the last year or two BA has changed their times significantly here in PHL. The afternoon BAW67 used to arrive by 2PM, but now shows up closer to 3:30. The later BAW69 now arrives around 8PM and departs at almost 10PM usually which is pretty late for an east coast flight.

glad you had fun!

Saw her flying in around 5:00 yesterday. I also caught the OneWorld jet (i believe the one you photographed) flying over too, but I couldn't get any decent shots of her.

I guess my arrival into PHX at 1750 will be too late to get the BA 744 from the mentioned T4 car park. Is this an easy spot to find/get to and do you usually get any trouble from security. Guessing I will only have an hours sun but wouldnt mind getting a few shots from that spot.

PHX is very spotter friendly. Spotting is good from any of the parking garages, there isn't really "a spot", almost anywhere on the north sides of the garages affords good shots.

Enter the airport from southbound 44st and follow the signs towards the US Airways maintenance facility. Park on the empty street outside of the US Airways entry/gate and enjoy having traffic fly right over your head.

I was at 910 Live last night for a concert and she flew over VERY LOW last night, unusually low for this approach. Was a beautiful sight to behold. Concert promoter was afraid that the plane was going to crash into the building.

This is trhe besttime to catch the BA arrive. With the heat breaking the 100's this week., And the only day that BA does not come to PHX is on Wednesday. By next week she will depart while there is alot of perfect light showing. She always will come on the N side of the airport. Unless like 2 months prior when they had that runway shut down for maintence.

Anybody up for doing a meet at the T4 Garage this weekend to see the Speedbird? I've never done something like this with other people and would like some hands-on training on how to get good shots with my camera. It's nothing too special. Exams are over at ASU so yeah ....your call, A.net!
