I was watching the movie the Big Year the other day in which bird watchers try to catch every bird they can, I just wanted to know if anybody in aviation has ever tried to photograph every airplane or airline in the world.
Of course, it is impossible. Many historic aircraft simply are not around any more, and the number of aicraft types that have been built is quite incredibe, certainly if you include various sorts of very light aircraft.
