Hi,

Anyone out there know if there are any new spotting locations with the opening of the new concourse? Specifically for the 26s.

thanks

The new long term garage on the east side of the property offers an okay view but it's still not great. It needed one more floor to make it great.

Here are photos from that garage. As you can see, the gear gets cut off of departing aircraft:

Inside the terminal, you get a good view of the ramp and Twy Dixie but the south side of the terminal is gate podiums so you can only see the 27s from the sides of the terminal.

If you are on the main boarding/check in level and walk outside to curbside, then turn right on the sidewalk, you can go to the end and get a pretty good view of the east line of ramp 9 as planes are taxiing in. That spot will also give you a view of final approach to 27L but you will lose sight of planes just as they are about to touch down. Looking through the concourse windows are iffy. Depending on how your camera is angled, you will most likely get a ghosting image in your shot as the windows have a double pane to them. But every now and then you might have one that comes out well, as been my experience thus far.
