I was just curious if any of the many photographers at BLK on Saturday and today (Sunday) managed to get any decent shots of the red arrows departing and the eurofighter that looked like it almost stalled over the airfield (and of course the airshow itself).
I would also like to apologise in advance for "photobombing" as on Saturday I was taxiing out and told to hold at B3 (right in front of where the red arrows were parked) and then to follow them all the way down taxiway "Bravo" which if you were trying to get a decent shot of them in formation on the ground from the area behind Morrisons, I would have been in the way a bit. Today it wasn't an issue as I got out at 2pm before they departed elsewhere.

I was there on Saturday awaiting the BBMF coming in but it seemed they had a last minute change of plan and didn't come in as scheduled so got plenty of shots of the Reds, but not the Typhoon. If you departed at 2pm, the sun would have been in the wrong position to get and good photos from Morissons as you'd have been facing the sun. it's best before 12pm at this time of year from their. I was over on 28.

Ah, it was very hazy though! I was doing the instrument exercise as part of my PPL (even though it's not meant to be flown into cloud, it was perfect for teaching what happens if you do by accident!) I was holding at E2 when the red arrows were backtracking for take off, I was expecting to be told to take off whilst they still got into formation to clear me out of the way but I was told to hold. It did offer a good view of them taking off however!
Although, a lot of photographers were round the back of Morrisons, probably because it was closest, one person had a banner that said something but I was concentrating on taxiing and listening to ATC than reading what it said.
