Dear All,
Sometimes we do want to travel light. Sometimes we do not have much time to swap lenses.
What are your thoughts about this lens?
Is it going to be faster than 70-300mm VR on Nikon D90?
What about its optical performance/clarity/sharpness/contrast?

Please advise if you had any experience with this lens.
Thanks in advance.
Brgds, Yerbol

Yerbol;

I picked up this lens earlier this year and have done some aviation photography with it. The quality of images is quite good, and I use it just as you say to be able to travel light, having a wide to a tele in one lens.

If you look up some of my images I indicate the lens I used (Photographer Alevik) in the remarks.

Peter,
I saw your air-to-air photos. They look very good. I think that for air-to-air photos you need a fast focusing lens.
It is fast in focusing?

Yerbol -

Yes the lens is quite quick to capture focus.

Thanks Andrew!
If two head screeners said "OK", this lens is definitely worth attention
