I have never had a problem with mine (BWI, DCA, IAD, LAX, MCO, TPA, BDL, DEN, to name a few).
Note:
Mine has a detachable antenna, and when it is in my camera bag it is detached from the scanner. I have had TSA search my bag multiple times with it (DAB, LAX, BWI, etc) and I found out (at LAX) that they like to look at the antenna (on the X-Ray it looks like something ''bad'') so I generally put the antenna separate from the bag in the tray with my shoes so if they choose to take a peek at it they don't have to search my bag.
