This is my second post and this time am interested in photographing A380s at FRA. I will be connecting at the airport for about 6 hours from about 8 in the morning to about 2 in the afternoon and I was wondering what my chances were of catching a 380. Does anyone also have a full list of 380s that fly into FRA. Do any airlines apart from LH fly 380s into FRA. Seems like a big enough Star Alliance Hub.

Well there are: Lufthansa (of course; various flights), Thai (comes in very early and leaves at 2 pm) and Korean Air (Arrival 5 pm, Departure 8pm) currently serving Frankfurt with A380.
Singapore Airline will restart their A380 operations in April, 2 Daily flights (one comes in very early and leaves at around 8:30 am to New York, the other one lands around 10 am from NY and leaves around noon to Singapore).
and rememeber: being in the transit area you can only shout through windows and the taxiways will be only visible on gates where no aircarft is parked. Finally it depends on which terminal you are. If you are in Terminal 2 during the above mentioned time you probably will not get a chance of photographing an A380. In Terminal 1 you could get an LH or SIA, but like I said photo opportunities won't be great anyway.

But i think having 6 hours to catch the next plane allow you to get out of the transit area, as you need no visa i think, go to the visitors terrace and take better photos of the ramp traffic and some A380s during taxi.

@Wilco 737, I am in a city (the mystery...) with a pretty small airport mainly CRJs. I'll just say I am flying UA to EWR (that doesn't narrow it down much ), then LH to FRA, then LH to BLR. I have given myself 8 hours of layover in EWR and 5 and a half in FRA for planespotting!!! I probably don't want to leave the airport because of the hassle but thanks for the recommendation.
I was also wondering if seat 41k on the LH 744 would give me a good view of the wing while still letting me look outside when the flaps are down. Anyone know if 44k is better? I don't care about comfort, just taking good pictures.
I see a bunch of C-5 and C-17 on training missions but I am no where near a airport where I can take interesting pictures. I have no photos in the actual database but I am uploading some from my trip via London and Chicago and I hope they get in.
P.S.- I was so surprised when the most well respected Airliners.net mod commented on my post!!!! I come to this website 10 times a day!!!!
