Mystery Airplane In Bbc News Video Clip

I'm not sure where to post this but thought people on this forum would be the most knowledgeable!

I was watching a BBC news video clip about a stowaway who fell out of an aircraft a few days ago. The reporter demonstrated how he was able to climb up into the landing gear and hide. Tragically, it did not end well for the stowaway.

The aircraft that was used in the demonstration wasn't one I recognise: I only have a passing interest in aircraft, so I thought I'd ask the experts!

The aeroplane resembled a 747 - it had 2 passenger decks, but not a full upper deck. However, what struck me were the engines. There were 4 engines, but two engines per nacelle (like those on a B-52). The engines appeared to be quite modern in design (not that I know about these things).

Link to video here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-22847065
Aeroplane can be seen at 5.11-5.13 and 5.22-5.31

Is it a real commercial plane, or some sort of mock up?

Would be great if someone could let me know what it is! It been annoying me for days!

I can send screen grabs if required!

I think it's a real 747 that was mocked-up for the Bond film Casino Royale.

Hey AA, the 1960s called. They want their planes back!

The aircraft is 747-200 G-BDXJ. The aircraft was modified to appear as the "Skyfleet S570" aircraft in the James Bond film Casino Royale.

The aircraft is now permanently parked at Dunsfold Aerodrome and has appeared in a number of TV spots as a generic aircraft stand-in. The plane has shown up in a number of episodes of Top Gear (they film at Dunsfold) and can be seen in the background when they do segments on the Top Gear test track.

I reject your reality and substitute my own...

Thanks to all who replied and for the interesting info! My mind is now at rest (well, at least the small bit of my mind!).

Might have to watch Casino Royale and a few eps of Top Gear too...
