Florida Aviation Photography Convention 2014

January 15 - 19th 2014

The January gathering in Miami for aviation photographers hosted by Eddy Gual of Miami has been a regular feature since 1989. It has grown to almost 100+ photographers/spotters from around the world. Photographers gather for a few days of photography and camaraderie at local airports such as MIA,FLL,OPF,FXE,TMB, ramp tours, slide trading, evening photographic interest talks and renewing old friendships.

With the advent of the digital era, the gathering has gone through significant changes but we still have practitioners of film/slide still attending along with numerous digital photographers. We welcome all! The one goal is to share aviation and the passion for aviation photography.

This year we are diversifying further with more activities including a more diverse range of evening talks, slide trading opportunities, ramp tours at FLL and MIA. We plan to add some more opportunities and will broadcast them once the plans are finalized.

There will be a reserved conference room at the Comfort Inn & Suites Miami Airport (5301 N.W. 36th St. Miami Springs, FL 33166) which will be available for slide trading and for the evening talks.

The following are pictures from the 2009,2011 and 2012 gathering. Taken by famous MIA photographer and South Florida historian Don Boyd!
MIA 2009 .
Here is MIA 2012!

We welcome you to come to Miami and join us! It is awesome sight to see 100+ aviation photographers at one location together!

Stay tuned for more information. More information will be provided shortly.

Hi, I would really like to attend this event. I have a really important question, is there an age limit. I am 16 and would love to go, but I was worried that I wouldnt be allowed on the ramp tours.

Thanks, Philippe
