With Air Canada's announcement that their first 787 route after taking delivery next spring will be YYZ-TLV in July, are there any fellow YYZ spotters who will be venturing to Pearson to see this beauty take its maiden revenue flight?

I'd venture to guess probably all of them...

I believe that route starts July 1. Though I think now AC is now planning an earlier routing of YYZ-LHR and YYZ-ZRH in May as well.

I wish I'd be flying the route that day, as it would be my 7th time taking the trip from YYZ-TLV (direct or with stops). Been flying to TLV since 1998 (twice on AC, three times on LY and once on KL) because almost all of my extended family lives in Tel Aviv and the surrounding cities, notably Bat Yam, Holon, Yavne and Rishon Lezion. Maybe I'd fly that day if one of my family members pays for my ticket...

AC announced yesterday that they will also be launching YYZ-HND that same day (July 1), so they should have at least two 788s by the time July rolls around.
