If it's for a commercial company, you should ALWAYS charge something. They are using the photo as part of their business and will therefore be profiting from it (they won't be producing something for free). Any contributor, no matter how small, is entitled to a share. It's entirely up to the individual whether they charge or not, but it doesn't help anyone else if they don't as companies become to expect free photos.
Unless it's a rare photo, it probably won't demand much in the way of a fee. It also depends on the circulation. Everyone will have a different opinion on what the charge should be, my minimum charge is $30 for common aircraft on low circulation to several hundred for rare aircraft and large prints / circulation. Why not ask them to make you an offer, they may be on a budget or offer more than you had in mind? The offer doesn't always have to be financial. If they have a hangar, a tour of their hangar might be a fair deal?

Quoting dazbo5 (Reply 4): It's a pretty common photo (aircraft / composition) so the fee it demands will be low.
And that is why I said "nothing". I agree with you, a fee should always be charged when distributing photos to companies for use in advertising. The charge "nothing" advise was 99% a reaction to the thread starter not giving us any details regarding the commonality of the photo or the type of company requesting its use.
I would ask $20-30 for this shot. There are hundreds of the same shot in this database alone and someone else out there will give it away for free. I see you took and uploaded 13 other shots of aircraft from that day, so the photo didn't cost you very much to produce. And you don't want to scare the buyer away with a high request like $150.
