Hi there

I know this has been discussed here last october but I'm very much interested in the current situation.....

Are there any closed decks on japanese airports? I heard a rumour that the observation deck at Osaka Itami was closed after 9/11... Any info on that?

Thanks to everyone for their replies  Big thumbs up  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

hi there
heard that too when I was there last December - was the reason for me not to go to ITM. what I heard is that one of the 3 decks is closed (the one where you can photograph the ys-11s best I heard).
Otherwise I everything seems to be open (except the one in Sapporo because of snow/ice)

The deck at Itami that you mention I would think is the one next to the hangars but you should still be able to get good shots of the YS-11's on the move

So, to confirm, there are decks open at Itami?

I am flying out there on the 8th Feb, visiting NRT, HND, KIX, ITM and Fukuoka. Will report on findings . . .
